I've been looking at how to get the ipod integrated with my 05 Denali XL (or in my case my iPhone) and finally decided to try the iSimple Gateway. Ordered the GM575 kit from Amazon and got it installed last night.
The install wasn't too bad, thanks to info from the web. There's a interface box and 11 feet of cord to shove in the dash somewhere - that was probably the worst part. But I got it shoved in and after resetting things, it works! The nice thing with it is that you have the one plug and it'll charge and deliver audio. I didn't have any stuff in itunes on my phone, so I can't comment on the interfacing with that yet. BUT, I do run Amazon's cloud service on my phone and it worked for the most part. You can still seek with the factory buttons, but it won't show your playlists or song titles on the nav unit.
It IS supposed to show song info and playlists when using itunes, so I'll find that out soon and report back. Otherwise, so far I'd recommend it.
