Like the title says, I decided I wanted that feature which my 15 Yukon XL didn't come with.

I pulled apart a wireless charging pad I purchased from amazon for $20 and went at it.

You can get the charge pad at the link below.

First I pulled the console lid backing off. It's held on by several snap connections, about 8 of them. The easiest way I found to get it off was to use a panel popper at the lowest snap by the hinge. Then I just worked my way around.

Once it was off, you'll notice a black plastic piece screwed into the console lid. It's held in by four torx head screws. You'll have to remove this to access the place you need to mount the wireless charger pad.

This is what it looks like once you remove the plastic cover. You'll notice there is a black square. That's actually the rubber from the top of the console.

Next step is to take the disassembled charging pad and glue it to the rubber square on the underside of the lid. I used some rubber cement I had and then duct taped over it to cover the electronics.

This is the disassembled charging pad.

This is what it looks like after gluing and duct taping. Sorry I didn't get a pic before putting the tape on.

Once this part is done, you'll have to cut out some of the plastic cover that was removed to make room for the charging pad. Also not that I tattooed the USB connection together before putting everything back on to make sure it wouldn't come apart.

This is a shot of the inside of the cover after being modified.

And this is the backside of it, you can see I had to cut some of the bottom area to make room for the USB connection.

Here it is with everything put back together.

I just ran the power to the inside console USB connection since it's airways powered on.

And finally, everything is buttoned up and working perfectly. It works with no problems with my case on the phone. The case is like the otter box so its pretty thick.

Hope this helps anyone looking to do this in their truck...

Good idea, added the link to the original post. Good news is the charging pad is now $15.99!
