The Suburban one will work just fine, you just won't have OnStar services. The green mirror light will change to red. But the emergency button will still work regardless.

Be sure that part is not for the 2010+ models, because when ordering from the dealer or parts websites, they will not allow you to purchase it. I don't know why...but that is why my order never went through. I now use integrated Bluetooth from my PXAMG.

Yes, it retains all of that. It was a fairly easy install, you take the nav out and plug this new harness into it and the OEM harness into the other end of the new harness. Then one cable of the new harness goes to the PXAMG which is a central device that you can install behind/inside the glovebox. It has 2 inputs, which can be either HD Radio, Bluetooth, or iPod. I chose Bluetooth and iPod.

My iPod cord runs from my Denali center console (cupholder area) back to the PXAMG. The Bluetooth kit comes with a little box that you also mount with the PXAMG, and then it has a microphone that you can place pretty much anywhere in the vehicle. Mine is hidden in the headliner.

Overall, it is a very clean and factory-like install. You get to control all of it with your steering wheel controls or radio controls. I love it.

I ordered the PXAMG, PGHGM1 harness, ISBT21 Bluetooth device, HD Radio tuner, and the iPod cable. I thought it had 3 ports, but it had 2 so I had to return the HD Radio tuner.

It does not use the factory mic, but you can do what I did and hide it and no one will ever know the difference. It works just like factory anyways.

I am interested in bluetooth iPod intigration right now

i don't think HD is big in Canada yet

it seems the onstar bt is a easy alternative if you can get a unit
I also own 2009 Saab with onstar but not bt
I wonder if I upgrade that module and put in Yukon if I would be okay?

Very easy to change in saaab as they are in the trunk
