I'm wanting to replace the Climate Control with an overhead DVD player. My question is, can I use the power source for the lights or will I need to find a new power source and run it up there? I have no sunroof and I do not want to run the sound through the speakers, but only have it play through the wireless headphones. Can it work that way? Thanks

Technically you can use the power for the dome light, but I strongly advise against it. Reason being is that the dome light circuit is not an ign circuit. Its powered even with the truck off. So when the kids forget to turn off the DVD player, (and trust me they will forget) it can run your battery dead. I would fish a wire up the headliner and connect it to an ignition source. I have mine tied into to the green wire behind the radio so that my overhead also has Retained Accessory Power just like the radio.
