Advice on Black Out of a 2023 Tahoe

Hi All,
New to the group. Just purchased a 2023 Tahoe Premier- white and Chrome.

Today, I replaced the Tahoe badges, from Chrome to Black. Tried to tackle the chrome emblem across the back lift gate below the window and the chrome strip on the back bumper.

Thought I could remove the plastic interior to get to the chrome emblem but need to remove the plastic part just below the window and above the license plate. Got halfway there by removing as many screws as I could only to find clips I can’t access.

Any advice would be appreciated

What did you for your wheels? Looks sharp. I want black rims but dont want to spend tons of money to get new rims or have my ride out of service for a couple of days.

There are videos on YouTube. I aggressively sanded the clear coat which was more a thick plastic coating. I bought high temp paint from the auto parts store vs. Home Depot just in case.
I started by cleaning and tack cloth the wheels then used Spray Away window cleaner before 3 coats of primer. Lightly dust coat 1st coat, a little heavier 2nd coat and a full wet coat to finish. Lightly sanding, 1000 grit, and tack cloth between coats.

Same process for color coat. Just before putting the clear coat on, (it said Gloss) the wheels were very shiny. After the clear coat, the finish is rather a satin look. I may sand again and finish with a Gloss color coat. Probably doesn’t need a clear coat.

You’re right! Cost was under $200 for paint and supplies. New wheels would cost $3,000 plus. Took me a weekend to do them.
