AFM on a 04

The Gen 4 LS engines may have AFM and the 2004 model year trucks and wagons do not have AFM.

Are you in the market for a truck? There are a lot of 6.2 pickup trucks in and around where you live that do not have AFM, 2009 to 2013.

Yeah we bought an 04 yukon slt 6.0 for a family member and the knock sensors have started giving us problems. But she also swore that this thing has what she described sounded exactly like the Afm and I'm like no It doesn't have it mine does but not that thing. Trust me I would of felt it.

It can still have a busted lifter or bent pushrod and such.

If its got bad Knock Sensors then sensors could be giving faulty knock condition signal to the PCM and the PCM is adjusting timing causing spark knock which would cause all kinds of rattle noise. Or it could just be the good old LS piston slap noise.
