I have a 98 yukon with the 5.7 engine. I may have to replace the mass air flow sensor, had anyone ever used an aftermarket one. They are alot cheaper and I cannot find a used one anywhere. Thanks

Delphi is the original maker and amazon sells them for about $120-160. I tried on from A-1 cardone(very good company) $176 but it did not want to work on the gm. shop told me my old one was broke. Put the old one back in and it worked fine. The shop was assuming it was broke becuase it was giving of false reading at hight engine speed. It was actually my spider malfunctioning badly creating the false readings.

don't do it. I did it like 9 years ago. After much research a couple years ago I took it out and just about gave it away. All they do it trick the computer into running leaner therefore more power. a custom tune is a better idea

Cheap is what I am looking for, I wanna keep the check engine light from coming on. Then Im selling this heap. I have had nothing but problems with it. I keep getting the codes that say its running lean on bank 1 and bank 2. I have Installed a new fuel pump, filter, all 4 o2 sensors, temp sensor, air temp sensor, new pcm, checked the intake for leaks and vacuum hoses. Now all I have left is the maf and the egr. I cant take it to the dealer cause they said they dont know what is wrong.

Changing everything in the damn book isnt the best bet for problems and money wise. You need to get the code read, post your problems here and im SURE someone can honestly tell you what it is and they wont even need to be looking at your truck..

I have posted them here and on other sites as well. My code reader tells me that its code p0171 and p0174 and every once in a while it throws the code p0420 in there also. I will clear the codes and the two p0171 and the p0174 codes show back up again, then like I said the 0420 will show up once and a while. Im at my witts end, the dealer was the one who actually replaced the pcm, they said that its the problem. Well they were wrong and wont give me my money back. Im stumped, I dont know what to do........
