Just seeing if anyone has tried or if this would even work? I put in my aftermarket DD and everything’s great and works (stock Bose system, amp etc) but I keep getting complaints on the pos reception from the aftermarket mic. Can I splice into the oem bluetooth amplified mic from where it’s mounted in the headliner and the calls will be clearer?

where do you have the mic placed? best spot is at the top of the left pillar cover. On mine the oem mic sounded like I was in a tunnel talking
Right now I have it where the oem mic is which is in the headliner (where the reading light panel is) up underneath the panel exactly in the same spot as OEM. Everyone is telling me I sound far away and tonight was raining and the mic was picking up almost all rain noises and basically none of my voice

try moving it to the top of the left pillar, if that doesn't help then some people place it top center of the steering column right in front of the instrument cluster

The round plastic speaker looking thing above the drivers door in the headliner is for the hvac, it’s not a speaker.

In most vehicles the mic is in the dome lamp console. You may have a way to turn the gain up / down on the existing mic too.
