Hi everyone I just got done installing all new speaker wire and changing out the speakers in my 03 z71 with Bose but when I went to wire up the radio I could not fined a trigger wire to turn the radio on. I was wondering what other people have done to solve this problem.

03+ trucks do not have a trigger wire or ignition wire in the radio harness. The factory radio is turned on with a data signal through the data bus wire. Most people use a harness with an integration module that converts the data signal to an actual ignition wire and the module also has a built in speaker for the warning chimes that play through the door speakers when the stock radio is hooked up.
If you hardwired an aftermarket radio in, you can get an ignition wire from the ignition switch harness. Tap into a 12 gauge pink wire, and run that to the radio. Keep in mind that you will also lose all factory warning chimes such as keys left in ignition, headlights on, low fuel warning, etc.
