Hello I am new to the forums,

I currently have a 2004 yukon denali with a JVC head unit. I was wondering if anyone can tell me how hard it would be to install a pioneer double din based on the wiring that is already in the truck from my JVC. Will it be a plug and play or do I have to fully wire a new harness specific to pioneer. I also have the aftermarket steering wheel control adapter so i should be able to use this as well right?

Thanks

Well technically the adapter's currently used with the jvc would just need to be wired up to the pioneer harness, the adapters are universal to the truck not the headunit, the same adapters would be used unless you are adding some features with the pioneer that the jvc did not have.

I'd think the jvc and pioneer radio harnesses are different so you'd need to wire in the pioneer harness to your truck harness. Super easy. You need to get an aftermarket harness adapter and wire those two together. Just need to match colors of the wires together--green to green, purple to purple etc. Simple.
