Ive been having trouble with my air box staying "clicked" in to the fender. Even thou I would love to buy a CAI im tapped out from my a/c. Can anyone tell me what the adjustment screw is located inside the box? I used to use it to tighten the box in but it seems to be stripped. I dont know if I get maybe two 1" shelf brackets and screw the box into the fender but im not sure if the box will crack if I drill it. Any idea's???

Was not aware there was an adjustable screw. It is supposed to be a slotteds stud or something theat slides into a bracket on fender. There is an insulator on the corner of box closest to neg batt post But I don't think is was actually adjustable. wish I could look at mine for you but it is n boxed storage after being upgraded to a CAI. My K&N cost $221 at amazon. very cheap parts and goodies there when you are ready.

Maybe its not what I think it is? :(

I know it slides into that bracket on the wheel well and I used to use it to lock it in. I can tell by my mileage everytime its out like clock work. Real pain the arse. I guess after the a/c shop literally ripped it out half dozen times its shot. Also the plactic elbow that my k&n screws into has a crease in it. I can barely keep the filter screwed on anymore.

Yeah, that is the stud I mentioned. It is very likely a lot of in/outs over the years have taken its toll on the molded plastic fittings.

Wire tie the lower box stud into to the bracket maybe before putting in the ducting or perhaps maybe wire tie the cover clips to the fender after everything is mount down.
