Air Ride Compressor Pic and ?

I have a 2005 GMC Yukon Denali XL. I just purchased it in January. Trying to do some minor maintenance items before a 1000 mile trip to Florida. I was underneath it today and noticed this. See pic. It looks like part of the air ride compressor is corroded away. Does it need replaced ? I have no idea if it is working or not. I do not have any warning lights or messages. Thanks Pete

The right side of the pic is towards the front of the vehicle.

I really can't tell what I'm looking at. Here is a reference picture for anyone that has air ride and may be able to answer this.

I really can't tell what's going on due to the lighting and blurriness.

MrBalll, The light gray case on the left of your picture is the part that is corroded away.

Mine is a 2005 XL/SLT w/AutoRide. Dealer charged $2,400 for new compressor and 2 new air shocks and lines. Look at the chop-job they did to the inner fender well (rear driver side) to access the shock bolts. Does this pic make sense? I never noticed the old one in that location?!? Do you have a pic of the one above from further away? Where is the compressor "supposed" to be???

If i were you i would be back at the dealership that did that hack job demanding that they put in a new fender liner ASAP.
