Have you changed the controller yet? If you have not, i would suspect this is your issue.
There should not be any air flowing through the vents during calibration. If you do, you are doing it wrong and have it in the wrong position in the ignition switch (key). When it calibrates, it will cycle through (min to max door movement). you will here sound of motors. If you hear the moving, i would suspect they are fine and it is a controller issue. Turn key completely off. Then move it to first click.
You have to realize that the actuators are pretty damn simple technology. It is a just a little motor, gears, and a handful of electronics. People replace them thinking it is the problem, but i suspect that it is the controller that is really the problem.
