Airaid Jr or Volant CAI for Denali?

Got mine and installed it today. I mashed the gas a little and really didn't notice any real noise difference, don't know what all the fuss was about regarding noise.

I ordered mine from my local autozone for $170 and i cashed in some reward points i had so i paid like $140. Installed it in 15 minutes...little tip bro..open the clamps all the way cuz its hard to slip the tube in with the clamps on...also if u cut a 5x5 square on the bottom of the oem air box and on the metal under it it will breath alot better

I had no trouble getting it on being as though I'm a plumber and I'm really familiar with using hose clamp couplings. I plan on running the box in stock form for now but may try cutting the box in the future. I know that it may be restricting the flow some. Anyone else cut the box at all?

As it is the air is pulled from the fender, outside of the engine compartment. would cutting that hole within the engine compartment increase intake air temp at all? maybe a dumb and insignificant question but i thought i'd ask.

I've heard of people cutting more material out of the fender wall to open it up a bit, but that mod still separates the intake from the engine compartment.
