Glad you like it Nathan. I think this thread is going to help sell a lot of Airaid's along with the BBP air intake results. Do we get royalties from this...

You're welcome! There is a ton of knowledge on TYF. I've learned lots from all our members here.

Regarding the battery: I believe that is purely a liability/safety procedure. I.e you're wrenching on the intake and your kiddo hops in the cab, starts it up, and bam, you catch a finger in the belt an lose it thru one of the pulleys...

You do bring up a very valid point which is addressed in this thread:

See post #15 thru #19

I haven't done this, because I just got my AutoCal from Blackbear Performance and will be tuning it.

Thank you for the response! Yeah, pretty sure it is precautionary as you said. Completely coincidental, but couple hours later and it wouldn't start up. Jumped it, ran to Auto Zone and had the battery tested. Toast. Not overly surprising given it is 5 going on 6 years old. Threw in a Duralast Gold (8 yr warranty- first 3 are full replacement) and am good to go. Took the long way home via interstate just to her her purr! Jumping on from 50-65 mph or so gave it the loudest roar. During normal driving you really wouldn't know it was there. I did leave the stock filter in for now. I'll up it the Synthamax when it is time to replace.
