Hi all
I replaced the BCM in my 03 Tahoe since I installed the whole setup for steering wheel controls.
I got a BCM on ebay that I sent to Dashboardsolution who reprogrammed it with the VIN number of a Tahoe that was similar to mine but with the steering controls.
When I plugged in the new BCM the truck started immediatly withoutthe BCM having to learn the passkey data, which really surprised me.
Everything works fine except for the Airbag light and the message "Service airbag" showing up. I searched online and it seems like the BCM need to learn the SDM key. Does anybody know the procedure to do that ?? I thought it was the same that for the passkey feature but I can't do it since when I put the key on cranck the truck turns on instead of having the "security" module flash.
Also the engine is now throwing 2 codes:
P0448 Evaporative Emission Control System Vent Control Circuit Shorted
P0449 Evaporative Emission Control System Vent Valve/Solenoid Circuit Malfunction
Anybody knows why changing the BCM cause theses codes ? I cleared them but they comes back every time I start the truck.
