airbag light blinks for a while when turning hoe on

it blinks about 5 or 6 times and then stops. this is right after starting and all other lights have turned off. i'd think that if there was something wrong, it would stay lit up. any ideas?

i noticed mine did that yesterday, i think its just something i havent noticed b4 but if something was wrong with the airbag the light would stay on, mine went off on my monte and the light stayed on until i changed the sensor/bags

Light blinking while startup is normal. That is the Airbag diagnostic monitor doing all of its checks. If there was a fault or problem in the system, the light would remain lit all the time.

yeah i was thinking the same thing, maybe i just never noticed it before and i thought i read something similar here so i noticed it.

ya i think it was just looking at it blinking made you wonder lol thats what happen with me but when i noticed it didnt stay on i didnt worry bout it

It's normal, it's supposed to do that. If it stays on, there's a problem. Too easy.
