airfilter placement idea

so i have completed the efan conversion and now have enough room between my engine and the rad to smuggle bodies, so i was thinking putting an open cone shaped filter right off the the throttle body, but being in bed and just thinking of it and not being able to see it im thinking i would need to lengthen the maf wires to get it to reach.

so i am looking for some input as to whether this would be a good idea or not, is there anyvpossible downside? would there be an upside? i think it would look sweet like the old tuneported 350s on the firebirds

how do u like the E-fans ? have you noticed any difference in throttle response and MPG ?

temp wise i find it runs the same, there is some noticeable throttle response and about a 5% increase in mpg which is nice

The only problem i see by putting the filter there is that it will be sucking in all the hot air blowing off the radiator.

OEM are more. The fan unit is around $250, and then you need to get ahold of blackbear performance to have them tune your computer so the fan plugs are active.

ya i did it the cheap way and i have put on about 4000km with them (i travel 800km/week for work) and love them!!! i am the king for finding deals and taking chances, i also have gone to a cai... i know, i know, for those of you who know how much i love the swiss cheese mad and how i tweaked it, but i have too much room and now thanks to the power from my black bear tune i wanted the look of power too
