Alarm System

Its a viper alarm system, its 'mounted' in the truck however the previous owner had trouble getting it to work, which can be seen by his makeshift work on the wiring. I'm just wondering if anyone has ever wired one of these up, if so would you be able to give me some pointers, (or point me in the direction of some instructions) so that I can re-wire the whole thing and get it working.

I don't live in the best of neighbor hoods and well I occasionally have a lot of money worth of things sitting in my kon and with all the reading of peoples recent dealing with theives, I kinda really want to get it working...

Alarms are deterrents. I'd still take out your valuables because they will still break in if there is a desire to. You could bring it to best buy and see what he did wrong?
