I'm an android guy, and use samsung galaxy as my phone because it's a more open system than ios, but this google automotive is the most crippled and feature limited infotainment system I have used. Especially when regarding the rear entertainment has less options on the '22 Tahoe/Yukon then I used to have on my '17. I miss having the control of selecting usb video files from the front screen, and ability to play back from usb sticks. I dream of GM scrubbing google infotainment from my 22 yukon and giving me what the 21 Model year had.

One big flaw with 21 system is not being able to display/read out texts on the native software….. I don’t use AA/ACP….

No. I checked again today and the vehicle is still up to date on updates.
You'll get it if you get a fresh 23... mine rolled off the truck with it ;) --- while you CAN change the default voice assistant to Alexa for handsfree access, Alexa can't control the vehicle, so you lose those features - you can just hit the Alexa icon on the screen though

But she can get directions for you, which is what I use her for mainly, and send them to the Nav. She can also look up local businesses and etc. Overall, this is much more helpful than having it change your cabin temp. I don't need voice control of my HVAC or Music....
