I would love to see a pic of one of those Chrome bowties from ebay on a black grill of the LT trim. I dont know if I should go for LTZ chrome grill or just attach chrome bowtie. Anybody done it and have a pic?? Thanks.

Not sure what color is your ride Mark, but if it's black or other dark color, chrome bowties stand out like a disco ball. All least that's what it looked like to me when I had one on with LTZ type grilles ... it was gone a couple of days later. I'll try to find a pic if I can on my old computer.

Also those grilles are not chrome they are stainless steel ... it actually does make a difference contrasted against a chrome bowtie ... as in, the disco ball effect is even worse. :)

Look at my post looking for the "definitive bow tie removal" thread. I show a pic of my black Tahoe with disco ball-esque chrome front bow tie. Granted, it's on an LTZ, but maybe you can get the idea of how it looks.

I find that it looks great, and NOT like a disco ball. You'll also find that Serge has questionable taste, especially when things constantly remind him of disco balls. ;)

Another caveat-- I have chrome wheels on my truck. If you still have gold now ties on your wheels, I wouldn't recommend the chrome front emblem...

Chrome bowtie on a chrome grill is too much. But chrome bowtie on a black LT grill maybe ok. So far I removed the gold bowtie and left that chrome backing. Im sort of getting used to it but it has 2 dents in it (from the factory) but its growing on me. Its either that or the LTZ grill.

Well, look below what I have now. As you see the it doesnt looks that flashy but right now it has these imperfections. I dont know if I should leave it the way it is, get a chrome bowtie or paint bowtie in black and get LTZ chrome grill.

No matter if you change the grille or not, that will look better with an aftermarket black bowtie receded into the existing chrome border ... imho.

Basically the same as in my sig.

Those are by a GM approved company called AMI All Sales ... the are the gloss black w/o border. No border because the chrome frame on the bumper provides a border. I'm happy to track down a PN if you need it. To get the same effect in the rear you have to get an oem gold one with the chrome surround and have have the gold part painted black. I had them but I just sold them a couple of weeks ago.
