All Weather Floor Mats - Do they have spikes to stay put?

I was contemplating Weathertech for my 2021 Tahoe. The local Chevy Dealer was listed as a Weathertech dealer. I was told by the dealers Parts department that they stopped carrying Weathertechs due to the high number of returned mats that didn't fit. I looked at at Chevy all weather mats, bought them and they fit great.

Are the GMC mats a hard type plastic like the Weather Tech or the soft rubber type material like the Husky X-act?

I have the husky weatherbeaters, which are hard plastic and have spikes. Nice mats - fitment for the third row could be a little better and the portions covering the door sills also have spikes which is unusual since it’s over the plastic. I plan to cut these off.
