Hopefully some people out there have gone through this already and can help answer a few questions I have about installing this unit in my tahoe.
1. Can you retain rear console audio controls?
2. Can you use the OEM xm antenna? (I know you need the xm kit but wanted to know if the antenna can be used)
3. Is it hard to retain the OEM backup camera? (I believe you have to splice into the wiring for this)
4. I have the Bose Centerpoint system, does it truly retain use of the OEM center channel?
5. Can you use the OEM Nav antenna? (I'm guessing not)
6. Other than the PAC SWIX are there any other aftermarket adapters required to get this installed?
7. If you buy the video out cable for the iPhone can it display on screen?
Any info on this would be greatly appreciated!
FYI my main goal is to get a better interface for my iphone to the head unit for music/video but having an all around better interface would be nice.
I'm also wondering if a 2012 OEM Nav unit would work in my 2009 as it has iphone integration and a nicer interface as well. No one has been able to answer this for me, not even the dealership.
Car is a 2009 Tahoe fully loaded.
Thanks!
