Can they be replaced or re greased???

NEWB HERE!!!! I have been scanning the search function but haven't found any details re: my predicament....

I de-greased my 350 5.7L and neglected to cover the damn alternator. In the past, I would cover it then spray white lithium grease on the bearings to keep them lubed... I screwed up. Now the alternator is starting to scream a little when running. I haven't driven it because I am having the rear end replaced so the bearings should be ok. Is there a way to remove the alternator and re-grease those sealed bearings or buy some new bearings and replace them? They want $175 for a new alternator or $11 for bearings... the alternator is 9 yrs old but still puts out 14 1/2... What would you do?

Thanks- Grayson.

You have to tear it apart to regrease it correctly. Mind as well put a reman on there and call it good.
