Few muffler shops I talked to have "generic" Flowmaster mufflers that are much less expensive. I looked at one side by side with the real deal and if it weren't for the name on the Flowmaster, you'd say they came off the same assembly line.

Yeah, Thrush makes a Flowmaster knock off that's way cheaper. My brother has one on a ****** old lumina and it sounds alright. I guess since the patent for the chambered design got leaked a few companies made em and they are pretty much the exact same muffler just not with the Flowmaster price tag.

I put two flowmaster super 44 with chrome tips out to the side. Paid 465, it sounds ok. I put a muffler called Insinerator on wifes 04 silverado with a 4.8 for 100 bucks. My wifes truck has a nicer and louder sound. Now wife rubs it in my face.
