I don't see it as a mom-mobile at all. At least not in comparison to a Honda Pilot, a Toyota Highlander, or any SUV that is literally a minivan with slightly more masculine sheetmetal.
It's probably more unusual for an 18 year-old to have an everyday need for a Tahoe. I'm 45, 2 kids, busy ski schedule in winters, pull the camper around in summers, and always seem to have a set of projects around the house that require a capable vehicle. Plus, if my daughters are running around with their friends on the weekends, I imagine I would rather they all pile into my car than someone else's.
If I didn't have this profile I'd probably be driving a smaller, 2-row SUV like a JGC or similar. It's just easier to deal with usually.
But this is 100% about preference and not what is correct. There is no correct.
