How did you wire up the 2nd battery under the hood? Positive From one battery to the 2nd then to the back? Or did you run positive right from the alt to the 2nd battery? I have a northstar g34 in the factory location and just picked up an xs3400 for the 2nd under hood.

In parallel? Positive - positive - amp.... negative - negative - amp for the batteries. I had an high output alternator installed and it has a zero gage cable going to the 2nd battery also.
