Amp shuts off if the bass is blasting too hard for too long

Thanks for all the input guys.... gonna try to go to an empty lot this weekend and try it out. Neighbors wont be too happy about me testing it at my house and the police station is only a minute away.

But Tracy, if its not getting the power it needs how can i fix it? Up the alternator and possibly wiring? And by that i mean if im not trying to run the amp past what its capable of.

If the impedance is correct, then check voltage. I have stock alt and a regular Kinetik on mine and I have a 700.5 powering all my system no issues. But I have good 4 gauge wire to the amp from the battery, with an inline fuse.
How big is your power wire from the battery to the amp? If its too small, just swapping to a larger wire can help alone. Then, battery. But I bet a simple wire upgrade can possibly fix it.
Caps are bandaids for small burst that store extra power. The powering system still has to recharge the cap. So IF you have impedance right, proper wire gauge to amp, then adding an islator and or second battery for system could be in order. Or just biting the bullet and get a ** alt.

I cant remember off hand what size my power wire is but i wanna take a guess that its too small. I have a big 3 upgrade kit from elemental designs im gonna put in soon. Gonna see about gettin some bigger power wire soon just to be safe. And i have a red top optima battery. Gonna try to check it all out this weekend if the weather holds up.

I don't think the problem is ur size wire. If it was too small and amp was pulling too much power the fuse on ur power wire should go before the amp shuts down. That size amp shouldnt affect the alternator. Dont buy farad caps they are bandaids. Still saying it's impedance issue

If it's playing on low voltage, it could have a low voltage protection that will shut the amp down so it doesnt pop the fuses. Fuses are the main, yet secondary safety measure.
Imagine running a race breathing through a straw...you may run, but not to full potential. Now even IF it is impedance, which I wouldnt rule out, you can never have 'too much' power wire. But you can have too little, and have issues.
