I would really like to add some bass to the factory stereo in my 2011 yukon denali since the bose subwoofer is pretty weak.
In my 1998 camaro I have a rockford fosgate power 1000d class d amp running a single RE Audio SE10" in a stealthbox (it's a dual 4 ohm sub running at 2ohms).
I originally had that power 1000 running a pair of rockford fosgate power 10s in my pickup back when I had it (they are VERY power hungry) in sealed boxes. But 1000w I think is overkill for this single RE 10.
So I defer to the experts.
Should I move the RF amp to the Yukon and get something smaller like an Alpine MRP-M500 for the camaro to push that RE 10? I still have the pair of RF power 10s in truck boxes (I think they'd fit behind the 3rd row seats in the yukon), or I have 4 JL 10w1s from an older yukon that I'm not doing anything with.
Basically I'd like to use what I have if possible before blowing more $ and growing my audio junkpile of still good-but unused stuff.
So what i'm thinking is move the RF power 1000 amp to the Yukon, probably use that pair of power 10" subs I already have. And get a new amp (is the alpine mrp-m500 decent for the $100-$150 price range?) to power the RE 10 in the camaro. I think 500 w would be plenty to push it.

If you're happy with the output of the single 10 in the Camaro, you're gonna have to do more than that in the Yukon to get equal results. That's where you'd be looking at doing the 4 10's.

Yeah I was thinking about doing the two RF power 10s I have since the size of the box the quad 10s are in would mean I could never have the 3rd row seats in. And I'm older now and not as much of a basshead as I used to be. Just need some decent low end to fill in and match the factory mids/highs.
