Sorry if this is a repeat question, but I searched and couldn't find it.

I have a '22 Yukon XL, and I thought I could install Pandora on the Google infotainment center so I didn't have to play it through my phone. I don't mind playing it through my phone, but was curious to try it out, and have it integrated with google assistant, but I am not able to find it in the play store. Anybody know anything about this? Google assistant says it can play through Pandora, and to check my notifications in my infotainment center, but I don't have any.

My 2024 Yukon does not have a standalone Pandora app and it bugs the $hit out of me. Yes, I could use Android Auto, if it would connect, but that is rare occasion when it does connect. The Android app has been unreliable on two GM vehicles I have owned now.

I have found the Android Auto functions pretty good in my 2024. I even have an older Android phone. Only a few quirks I have noticed, some static occasional while on BT phone calls, seems to be more vehicle DSP related than to the typicaly connection problems you often hear. The other thing is sometimes while connected with a BT phone call, the BT seem to drop but the call is still active, just on the phone speaker. Only had this a few times, so cannot repeat is yet. I think it may have something to do with either another call coming in or possibly a message alert?

Are you running Android or iOS for a phone?

In case you were unaware the USB C in console seems to be a "wired" connection for the Android Auto connection to the vehicle as well.

I even have a specific App on my Android phone for a great independant radio station that has awesome programming, that seems to start everytime my phone connects. Do not always want this to happen, I do not even have the App the radio station open in the background.

I have not bothered to check on why it always connects, one day when I have some time, I will play with it a bit.

As far as Apps go for the Android Auto head unit, I was hopeful for Pandora as well, no dice, I think that the app developers need to have a stripped down version or specific version for the Android Auto head units. I was hopeful to run some OBDII Apps and possibly create some alarms for parameters on the head unit, but no luck there either.
