Ok so I've been bitten just like many of you. My driver's side front and rear actuators went out. I'm looking to order some replacements. I can perform the change out. I've looked on gmpartsdirect.com and found some "close" matches, but they do not specifically indicate whether they are for keyless entry. Plus, there is a part that is made in USA and one made in Mexico. So...does anyone have any opinions on whether the Mexico part is of substandard quality vs the USA part? And the parts that are listed, does it specifically need to state that it is for use with keyless entry?

Finally, if any of you have a different website to order parts, please pass that along. Thanks in advance for your replies.

I don't believe it matters on the keyless entry. I'm curious on the US/MEX built though also as I noticed this when going to order two for myself.

Has anyone found a source for a replacement solenoid / actuator (using the exisiting, functioning locking mechanism) ?
I have a 2008 Yukon with all four door locks out.. At 135k miles, I don't want to spend $400 + (discounted parts only) to replace some $2 Chinese solenoids.

FWIW.. the first lock failed about 2 weeks out of warranty.. the rest gave up one at a time over the next several months. The vehicle, along with several other fleet GMC's, was purchased in NY. Finding service in MD has been a chore. This Yukon is 1 of the last 2 GMC's that I have not gotten rid of...
