It’s a DD, so not going to spend the money I did on my “fun cars” to Xpel. However, any advice on a pre-fitted stretch material to protect the front end (especially the countless bug splats on the radiator due to the giant grille design?) looking for something to use on long highway trips mostly. Thanks.

Griot's makes a "Bug Spray" that you can spray on your truck right after a wash and dry. Goes on like hair gel, and I put it on the grill, mirrors, bumper and hood before long road trips. It comes off easily when you spray it with water at the post trip washing. I find it works best with a freshly wax/sealed truck. Not full proof, but does seem to make the clean up easier with baked on bug guts.

Take the bumper off and add the black aluminum door screen mesh to the inside of the grill. Your condenser will thank you very much. Many ways to do it, actually.

You really don't have to though. I unbolted the top and used these bolts as hard mounting points, piercing the top of the mesh. At the bottom I tucked the screen in between the bumper cover and the bumper 's foam insert. I used few wedges to make the bottom of the screen hold. So the screen is placed on the angle, covering the whole condenser. It is easy to clean with the hose, the bugs just fall down. Then you can vacuum them out from behind the grille.
Mine is '14 though, yours might be different. Just get there from the top and see for yourself.
It's being there for four years now, everything is still in place, and I didn't have to change the mesh. Lots of bugs collected!
