Hey Guys - Hope everyone had a nice 4th!

I want to put some ALL black wheels on my tahoe. I don't really want any silver or chrome on it except maybe the lugs. Do you all have any suggestions? They don't have to be super fancy, in fact I kind of prefer more of a "4x4" look (for lack of a better word) vs. a sporty or luxury look. I realize my LS will never be "luxury", haha.

If anyone has something like im looking for, pics would be appreciated!

As always, thanks in advance for the help, TYF is first-class!!!!!

I like XD Monsters. IMO too many people have the Rockstars. Go to Four Wheel Parts online just to look because they have a pretty good selection of Truck wheels.

Maybe 17 or 18. Definitely no bigger than 20. Is it true that the larger the wheels you put on, the ride becomes less smooth? Just something I've heard...

Not really. With 26" wheels you might start to feel a difference in ride but it would be minimal. Personally I would never put anything smaller than a 20" if you are buying new wheels. Have you ever thought about buying some OEM LTZ wheels are somethign like that?

My 2 cents.

- 17s you may save $ and there are more sizes (width and profile) available. For looks, I prefer 18s or larger.
- 18s, I think this is a good mix of wheel diameter and tire profile for looks and off-road (not rock crawling or anything extreme).
- 20s with MTs look sweet. On road it will have less roll because the tire profile is much less.

Post pics when you are done!

I won't go bigger then a 20 simply because you lose too much sidewall. I'd probably not even have those if the truck didn't come with them. If you do any off-road, rough-road, mud, snow...hell, even just hopping a curb...you are better off using rubber and not rim.

FWIW, my truck is considerably smoother on the 20's than on my 16" winter wheels, although that probably has as much or more to do with the tires themselves than the wheel.
