Dealer removed the sliding console from my Denali order which was accepted by GM with a 2/7 TPW. Was hoping they had enough to produce on orders before the distribution update notice which came out after my order was pulled. Want to bet it is gone for the rest on 2022?

you will probably get it, but yes, it is expected to be gone for the rest of the model year

Well that sucks. Was looking forward to that feature. Idk if my order was accepted yet though. Put it in 12/5. Dealership hasn’t been to detailed with information, other than it will take a few months.

Do you still get the 2nd row bucket seats with the sliding console removed? I heard somewhere that if you remove the sliding console, the system forces you to get a bench in second row, which I don’t want…

Dealer said yes, but is waiting for it to be scheduled/accepted by production control before 100% certain. I read the distribution update as the split bench was forced on the orders. That really does not make sense.

The second row bench WAS forced when opting for the fixed console where the sliding console was part of an option package (Denali, etc) - now it will just be built with the buckets, but without the sliding console.
