Right next to the override button there is a rotary wheel that is used to dim the dash lights, roll it all the way in one direction dash lights dim, roll it in the other direction dash lights come bright. If rolled a little more dome light comes on and wont go off when doors are closed, only with that know/wheel. At least on the 06, not sure if 00 has the same set up but worth a shot anyway. GL

gtbigup01 sounds like he has it on the button. On my 01 that rotary/dimmer switch turns on all lights/domes, and won't go off with doors closed or anything. Also, domes don't go off for like 15-30 sec after doors are closed. Check the dimmer switch though

mine's a little goofy too. I always have to slam the hatch to get it 'shut'. I should try to find it today and see if there is any adjustment I can make, but if you get around to it first, lemme know.
