wd40, I have seen goo gone eat some stuff, not necessary painted surface but plastic yesIf Goo-Gone makes you worry, try WD-40 or VM&P Naphtha. Both safe for paint.
FYI.... Naphtha is also lighter fluid.

During that dreaded bug season..... 3M makes a plastic scrub block specifically for bugs on paint.
Will not damage the paint, works like a charm !!
3-M products..... An auto paint supply store should sell them. It's about the size of a brick, and you take a slice of it, as you need. Works great !! ( I suppose it would be in the 'detailing' products? )what is this called? if someone were to try to find one for sale
