Anybody trim front bump stops?

how do you mount new stops in there? i don't see how you can get a drill in there at all. do you have to torch the hole or what??? mine are almost gone and i need to replace.

Mine are completely gone - metal and all. No problems.

I dont see what having it ride on the stop is better than having the travel myself buut waiting some other opinions.

I tried it riding on the stops and didn't like it, that's why I cut off all I could. Its a smoother ride this way and I have yet to bump since doing so even with a 3" drop up there.

All this is very interesting info, but as stated before i think it just depends on each vehicle. they are all different. B/c mine w/ my drop spindles, 1" keys sitting at 32" right now, is mashed on the stock stop, put in z71 stops mashed on stops, nothing installed, about 2inch from lca, rode much better. Thinking about taking back out again.

can you take a picture of your front control arm area wher the jounce stop used to be? I would like to see how it looks before I go remoing things.
