Any pics of the interior all black? I wasn't aware the denali came with all black. I was planning on painting it all with interior paint and using bulldog spray adhesive to make the paint stick.

I dye leather for a living so I have some insight into this issue. Dyeing or painting the leather is a viable option and a huge cost saving if you really want it black. While its not a perfect solution and will not last forever it is an option. Having the seats reupholstered is most likely not an option as it would cost thousands. I will say if you do dye the seats you must have reasonable expectations. All leather seats are essentially covered with a coating or dye that will wear eventually. The original color will last longer then any other subsequent coating. So in all likeliness the coating will show wear and may peel in some areas after some time, but thats ok even factory the factory finish can do that with enough wear and tear. The important thing is to prep the surface properly and that means thorough cleaning and using the right adhesion preps before spraying. Look into it and do some research, if you really want to do this, before just spraying a buzz bomb on it. Any other questions feel free to ask. I did the seats on my 04 and made them two tone black/beige and they held up very well for the 4 years I owned the truck. 04 denali black beige interior.jpg

t.simpson thanks for the info.

I should have been more clear in my first post. When I mentioned painting I was referring to the gray dash pieces, door covers etc. I would buy replacement carpet in black and but a kit to recover the seats.

ah ok. well yeah then the same process, clean, prep, then spray. I doubt you would have any issues then as the dash and doors have no real wear and tear. good luck if you decide to do it.

I have actually used the Sem color coat spray cans to color change a console and glove box - lower dash panels just to 100% match items and I will say prep is very important I washed everything in mild soap and water first then air dried and then went back over top with a damp paper towel and alcohol allowed to dry then several light coats building up heavier... Now I have also recently purchased a full interior plastics I intend on color changing all black likely the landau black Sem color and plan this time in spraying with paint gun then upholstering seats and in the process full black vinyl flooring
