Anyone else had their engine hours reset randomly?

I did some reading where people say it randomly reset when their battery died and stuff.
Some known issue fixed by a software update if i remember correctly.

I can't get mine to do it.
Doesn't really matter, and I'm not going to mess with the odometer, but engine hours would be nice to have it reflected correctly.
you should be able to do it from the dic menu, if not the tech2 can do it
just select engine hours and press and hold the check mark button (i think)

I remember when we would remove the cluster and bake the Speedo case remove window and use a tooth pick to roll the numbers back
I had a special 140 MPH cluster that I would move from Buick to Buick way back when and yep, rolled the numbers all the time to keep the miles the same in whichever vehicle it was in.

There is or was an electronic tool that could re-write our mileage and hours but Amazon took it down since thieves were using it for nefarious purposes.

If memory serves it was an Autool product for all years and all kinds of cars including GM trucks.
