I came across the picture below in a search. I really like this set up (1.5" level & 285s), but no one ever seems to do it. I have 275/55/20 bfg ko2 (measuring right at 31" tall maybe a hair more) and its too small.

I think I wont like 275/60/20 because it will look too tall and skinny. I'm torn between 285/55/20 and 295/55/20. I was quoted $1564 out the door for 285/55/20 toyo at 2- and like $1200 for 275/60/20.
Never got a price on 295/55/20 but im guessing it will be more expensive.

I just don't want to spend the money on new tires when mine are in good shape, just don't look great, and then the new look not satisfy me.

I know Jonah has said his are too skinny for his liking. Everyone only seems to do 275/60/20 or 305/50/20.

All input is welcome- except criticism for starting another tire size thread :)

Now it's done. 285/55r20 BF Goodrich all-terrains installed.

Cost is a concern. I don't want to look over-stuffed either. 285/55/20 will be noticeably larger looking than 275/55 correct? I'm thinking 285 may be best bet for my set up

285/55/20 is about .4" taller and .4" wider then a 275/55/20.. 275/60/20 don't look tall and skinny. That's a 11" wide tire

Yes it does have a level kit. I'm doing that bumper valance trim on mine soon! Remove the big ass pinstripes and door moldings =much cleaner

I thought so. They look great but there is a $70 difference per tire from 275/60/20's.

Pinstripes and Moldings are real easy with a 3M eraser wheel and some goo gone. Then a good cleaner wax after takes away the shadow from where they were.

I got $500 for my old tires so I went the more expensive route. Also The 285 is an "extreme" size meaning it has the deeper lugs. They hum more than my bfg's, but the ride is noticeably better. All around pretty satisfied.

275/60/20 is not an extreme size and looks much more... Tame.
