anyone flat tow a obs yukon 4wd ?

manual give a max speed you can tow it at? 45 mph is what most will take. and not cross country. local short tows.

keep in mind everything's still turning, both axles drive shafts and the gears inside the t case. and your dragging all that rotational weight behind ya too. so even worse mpg for the rv. unless its a class A motor home with a diesel pusher, then i dont think the rv's gonna care at all lol

Scott, when mine is in neutral there is no longer a connection between the transfer case and the axles, the parking brake must be set and or the wheels chocked to keep the truck from moving even in park. There is no maximum speed for towing. What you're saying may be true for other autos but not the GMT900s anyway.

i hear ya, it rolls, i get that. what happens is the axles still turn, so do the drive shafts. so the guts of the t case are still spinning. even tho its in neutral. its just not engaging the tranny that has the parking pawl. aka what keeps the truck from rolling away on ya.
