So as the title suggests, some ******* hit my Tahoe and didn't stick around to tell me about it. Backed right into the corner of my bumper and completely dented it in. The worst part is that this happened while I was at work and I have it narrowed down to a 2 hour window--I know it was someone that came into the store so I know I saw the *******, I just don't know who it was. I have a sneaking suspicion it was the mailman.

Anyways, USAA has been great and I'm getting a whole new bumper for a $200 deductible. I'm actually pretty happy to be getting a new bumper because with how un-aerodynamic those things are mine had gotten a little worn from all the miles I've put on it. The reason I'm asking the question is to see if anyone knows if the front grill, and specifically the Chevy logo, is part of the bumper. It looked like it when I checked but I wasn't sure. My logo had some imperfections on it that I didn't notice when I bought the Tahoe and I'm hoping that my new bumper comes with a new Chevy logo.

One good thing though is that this is the rental car USAA hooked me up with:

Nope. The grill is a separate piece from the bumper cover. I'm surprised you couldn't just push the cover back out, but a new cover would be nice, too.

I'm getting mine replaced soon as well, a rock just hit me this last Saturday (ok maybe I hit a rock). The bumper cover is a separate piece from grill as stated above, you might try sourcing the parts of having the collision shop grab them and then just pay the extra. I see you're in VA but you definitely want a new part on their, it can be fixed but won't be the same structural strength as before.

You could get the street scene bumper cover.....will go right over your banged up bumper. I have one and the fitment is great.

I know you must like that grill guard on there, but obviously it did no good in this accident. I love the SS bumper on the tahoes

Yep, whoever hit me found the weak spot below my brush guard. Since I did it through my insurance they just replaced the bumper. I could have popped it back out, but there were cracks in it so it wouldn't have been the same.

I got the Tahoe back yesterday (quicker than I expected). I'm much happier with the new bumper. The guy at the shop was pretty awesome and replaced my daytime running lights for me since they were already going to be pulling the headlights out. He said that he noticed the imperfections on my bowtie and checked to see if they had an extra one lying around that he could replace it with but the only one they had was a different size.
