I just noticed the other day the my tailgate button on the outside under the license plate doesn't work and also when open the one uder the tailgate to close it. The remote works and also the inside button works to open and close it. Just wondering if anyone has run into this. I checked fuses and I only see one fuse for the rear tailgate.

The button you push from the inside to open the gate. That button should have an image of a Hoe with the gate open along with a "dot". If you push the dot it inactivate the button under the license plate and the button under the tailgate to close it. Try pressing the "dot" again and check to see if those two buttons start working again. I found this out because apparently I accidentally pressed that button and had the same thing happen to me until I realized what I did.

 Interesting. Well, at least we know the motor is good. I wonder if there is a plug in somewhere that has come loose that feeds into those two buttons.

I believe if the dot is pushed the remote would not work either. I am guessing they tie in together back at the gate and then one wire harness to the front so maybe it is messed up somewhere along the way after that point??

Yah thats what I am thinking as well. I guess one day I will need to tear apart the rear gate and look and test the connections.

Maybe start with the wiring in between the gate and body? I would assume that would be the easiest place it could get messed up.
