Would love to see how it looks (and what you think of the ride, looks, etc.).

Thanks!

I don't know about that one.....never seen anyone with it, and honestly I don't know why the offset height would look good?

I have thought about doing the same thing, just to make the truck level. I am not really interested in bring the truck up in the front to level it (usual way). I would not want to increase the wheel well gap. I am just afraid the rear would end up being lower than the front which would look retarded.

Yeah I do, my Pedders 3.5" rear kit has been installed and I'm still waiting to do the front 2.5" lower. And it does "Cali Lean" a bit but not to noticable....i'll get pics later.

Md -- You've got it. A few of these companies have kits that consist of only rear springs (and whatever else is necessary) with the idea that you can level the truck without raising the front. (I am NOT talking about dropping the rear lower than the front, folks. C'mon. That would look absurd.) I'm also not interested in lowering my truck (as much as I like the looks of other folks' trucks that have been lowered. I just want to drop the rear an inch, really. ('Cept I hear that most of these kits drop it 2"+ in the rear.)

Thanks!

I really like all that Nfamous has to offer here (lots of good info) -- I just can't understand the no-K thing, either... Maybe he'll chime in and let us know what that's all about.

I guess I was writing as you were writing! Ok, so that 3.5" rear drop is part of a front-and-rear lowering kit, right? I'm talking about these kits that are intended to only drop the rear, and not as much as the drop you get in a kit that lowers the front, too...

...But, yes, I'd still like to see pics as it is now (rear drop). Thanks!

(Oh, can you measure the front and rear wheel well heights for me? Thanks!)

I can try to measure but I don't really know how?
And yeah the kit was front/rear drop kit, but you can go to the USA Pedders site and order just the rear 2425 coils (2) and you'll be good for a rear only kit, but it Cali Leans a bit with 1/4 tank of gas. When I fill up I bet it'd be alot worst!

But the lean (now) is based on the 3.5" rear drop, right? I'd think that I wouldn't get a lean with only a 2" drop, right?

I was just wondering if you could take tape/yard stick, start it on the ground running up through the center of your wheel, and see how high the center of your fender/wheel well is off the ground at the rear wheel. That will give me an idea of just how much drop you got in the rear compared to my stock height.

I do know for a fact that the rear of these Tahoes is a little bit less than three inches higher than the front. A 2" drop will give you the level look you looking for. 3.5" is too much and your rear will be lower than the front (Cali Lean).
ANd yeah its the 3.5" rear Pedders drop that is making my rear lower than the front!
