Last night, driving to Subway to grab me two foot-long sandwiches to eat, I got to record a red-light runner. Mini-van drivers can be pretty aggressive, huh? :evillol:

If you click on the YouTube icon in the bottom right side of the video above and view it in 1080p HD, the quality will be much, much better. I started my own YouTube channel today so I can start making some additions of goofy Lubbock, TX drivers. This is going to be fun!

I'm really enjoying the dash cam. The quick clip above was on the dark side, but hell, this isn't a Titanic or Gone With the Wind camera. If I had had dash cams installed in my old '95 Chevy pickup or my work vehicle last week, I could have posted some great videos, including one of a kid that dashed out in front of a pickup and almost got splattered by a small car that had its view blocked by the pickup. Another three feet and that kid would have been in the hospital instead of getting across a major intersection without a scratch.

Geez, I just need to get a satellite hookup to broadcast live my Tahoe driving. Two dumb-asses within about thirty seconds today. One idiot stops in a lane of traffic and does a U-turn after I go around him (obviously the U-turn isn't visible since I haven't installed a rear-facing camera . . . yet). And shortly after that, a stupid woman pulls into my left-turn lane.

I wish I had a laser weapon to make vehicles go ****! :evillol:

I've been a busy boy taking lots of pictures this week. So here's one more of the Pittasoft BlackVue DR400G-HD installed just under the rearview mirror.

Steven, what did you pay for yours? Or which eBay seller did you get it from?

Steven, what did you pay for yours? Or which eBay seller did you get it from?

I paid $208.60 when I purchased mine on 04-29-12 from "dream-seller" on eBay. The product keeps dropping in price. Keep in mind that these are unauthorized sellers from South Korea, so you're up a creek without a paddle if something happens. Pittasoft won't support unauthorized sales, and shipping back to South Korea would be quite costly.

I've got quite a few links to topics on the product that I can post if you want me to. Most of the people having trouble with the units use them in parking mode, and heat is a killer when the units are operating. I expect their next upgrade model will make an effort to deal with the problem, because if Pittasoft doesn't address the problem, they're going to hurt the market share they seem to be sucking up right now with their products.

I still don't know why some major companies don't come out with dash cams, but they're ignoring a market for a product.

I just hate to say this, since I have NEVER purchased an extended warranty on anything in my life, but if any product needed one, this is probably it, and eBay has one available for a very reasonable price. This is one of those "iffy" products that needs some further refinement, so keep the warranty in mind. There is a better chance than normal that it would be used.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to look in to it, because like you, I see idiots all day every day all around me.

These are common for folks in our industry to have now. I receive more solicitation calls for GPS tracking and Drive cams than anything else.
