I'm looking for an xl Denali, and I agree not many significant changes hopefully price stays about the same.

Though anecdotal, I was talking to a dealer in Texas about pricing on Tahoes and Silverados from '14-'15, and he casually mentioned that the '15s will continue to fly off the lot because of another price bump for 2016.

Am I correct in saying that most of the problems seem to be on the upper level trim LTZ and Denali vehicles?...and most were early production 2015, built prior to November 2014? I have had no problems on my LT built late 2014.

When they put the 8spd in the 5.3 vehicles, it will be nice, but the 6spd combo really works well, and is much smoother and quieter than prior years, the new 5.3 seems to have a lot more low end torque that helps too. My MPG highway, going between SoCal and AZ averages about 20mpg at 80-85mph. City is about 15mpg. It seems to be improving as the engine and drive train break-in. I now have a little over 5,000 miles on it, mix of mostly highway driving and some towing.

That's great mileage at those speeds. Our 04 Tahoe 2wd with 3.42 would be at about 15.3 mpg 80-85. 5 mpg with 400 lbs more weight is quite an improvement.

I am planning on upgrading from a 2015 LTZ to an 2016 Escalade Platinum. was told that I could order anytime after April 15, and if I order now, I could have it by August, production starts early July

According to my dealer the only people that can currently order the 2016s are fleet customers...I have no idea if this is true lol
