I'll send a PM about my rig.

As far as why mine (and probably Rusty's) have taken so long to get, it's because I ordered one built how I wanted it. I would guess most of what he has on the lot are white and black exterior, vinyl rear seats, rubber floors, etc. I wanted a less common color (tungsten on the 2015 and pepperdust on the 2018), the retail center console, remote start, carpet, cloth rear, etc. If a guy wanted a black 2WD with a spotlight, I would bet it would be an easier process.

My 2018 was delayed about six weeks because of some issue at Chevy that affected the 4WDs.

As far as the "options" the dealer was talking about, who knows? I bought takeoff wheels/tires from an LT for my 2015 and ended up having that all arranged down there with the 2018, so it will arrive ready to go. Saves me from having to sell the PPV wheels on my end.

My 2018 arrived today. Snowy out here so not the best weather for taking pictures. Here is what I've noticed:

The IO5 radio is such a tremendous upgrade over the IO3. Android Auto is also a great addition. I am very impressed. The controls (volume, cruise control, etc) are much more responsive than the 2015 with IO3.

They changed the front seats to have cloth backs instead of the plastic and vinyl on the 2015 PPV. Unknown which year this happened, but it's different to me.

The steering wheel DIC and voice controls are nice, but there are no radio controls. C'mon! How stupid?!? Ford and Dodge both have these controls on their police packages and I was expecting them to be there. I'm considering trying an OEM LT wheel to see if that fixes it.

The advanced driver warning package is neat. Lane keep assist, collision warning, and automatic high beams all work great. Haven't "tested" the forward collision braking yet. These features will prevent crashes for cops and that's outstanding.

Otherwise it drives about the same as the 2015.

More thoughts and pics to come.

This is all very cool and interesting, I have a 2016 LTZ. Paid around $60k for it. Would much rather have the PPV with upgraded options. I like the ppv look better. I am a career FF and my dept has some of these for our chief officers. I recently had the chance to drive one and love the handling over the civilian model! I will be looking into the PPV in the future.

Does anyone know if the PPV could have the push button start option?

Nope. Not yet anyway. I imagine that like the IO5 radio, color DIC, LED DRL, and other previously non-PPV or even LTZ/Premier only features, it will filter down eventually.

Dodge has had push start in the police Charger for a long time.

I see. Definitely not a deal breaker, I have just become attached to it.

So do the PPV have the LED DRL? Or not yet?

I just took delivery of my 18 PPV 4 wheel drive. Absolutely love this thing. New to the forum and super happy they have a group dedicated to the PPV.
