Hey everybody, yeah this is my first post but i've been viewing this forum for quite sometime now. Anyways I have a 2007 Yukon, I had 26" Giovanna Caracas, sold them but now I want to get 28" U2 55's. Yes they do make them, they are on e-bay! But I did a search on 28's and found nothing. Let me know what you think? maybe 26" U2's with a 2-3 drop or 28's with a 2-3 drop....

If your going to run 28's don't plan on driving it daily. With 28's you will need to run 25 series tires. With those rubber bands it's easy to damage your rims. There are a lot of members lowered and running 26's.

28s would have to not be on a daily driver, if you do it you will have bent rims alot, a member on here goes by the name of TRICK has 28s but iam sure its his show vehicle..

I hope you save some money for a MAJOR brake upgrade. For something as stupid as
28's you will need $3K to $4K for a huge brake upgrade.

I would never go from a quality Giovanna wheel, to a low quality U2 wheel, just to size up 2", not worth it at all.
Those wheels are played out, suck in quality, and will look pretty hood on your truck!

OK, well thanks for all the info. So i guess I'll stay with the 26's. I just didnt care much for my giovannas after a few months. But will a 3-5 drop work with 26's? does anyone have any pics of this set up?

A 3/5 drop with 26's is a lot of drop for a 33" tire. Your best bet is still a 2/3. If you dont like the wheels, try selling them and finding ones you like better, but dont go to 28's. Also, if you can find a lipless 26' they tend to look much larger than wheels with a lip.

Yeah I sold the Giovanna 26's awhile back. I actually gave the truck to my father but I'm getting it back. I'm going to rim it up, lower it, put exhaust and intake and system back in it before Memorial Day. I'm going to go with the 26" U2 55. I understand everyone has them but not around here....
