Anyone Using Plex on the Rear Media/Entertainment Package ?

Hey everyone.

I have a new 2022 Yukon SLT with the Rear Media/Entertainment package. We purchased the Apple HDMI adapter and can successfully stream video from my iPhone to the rear screens (also - nice surprise to see the adapter has a USB-C plug so you can continue charging your phone while watching videos on long trips).

So far I've tested Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube with no issues. However we have a large video library on our home server, and we use Plex to stream those titles remotely. When I streaming a Plex video to the screens, the audio plays over the speakers, but no video. I'm guessing it's an incompatibility with codecs or video formats. I searched online but couldn't find any info on what formats are required.

Has anyone been able to get Plex video working on the GMC rear screens (2020-2022 models)? If not, does anyone know what Video formats/codecs are required? I think Plex allows you to tweak the output but I don't want to start messing with it until I know what the target output needs to be.

Deciding if I should wait for the rear entertainment to be off constraint. SO many posts stating the 2022's don't work and are useless monitors. We are an apple family too. Could you share the setup you are using? What beyond the HDMI Adapter do you need? Thanks in advance.
