I searched around and only seemed to find posts about these in the lifted section and I don’t think I saw anything negative except that they raise the truck more like 3” of you install them as they come when they advertise only a 2”. I’m currently lowered with knuckles so my front shocks and springs are still a stock ride height setup. I’m wondering if anyone else is using these setup for stock ride height? The only thing I think I’m worried about is if there will be enough travel.

I like my current setup, it’s great for around town and 1-2 hour trips, but I’d like something different for a 5+ hour trip. Something might be worn out again or got broken on the dirt roads, everything but the front shocks has been replaced on this truck. I want to say everything is about 4-5 years old so it is plausible something is worn again. I haven’t gotten there yet but new front Mag Ride shocks will cost the same as the Fox coilovers if I didn’t go with any of the remote reservoir models.

so i just installed the fox 2.0 coilovers in the front of my Tahoe. before i installed them i did move the pre-load lock nut down 1" so they would be "stock" height. i am lowered with the beltech 2/4 kit as well. when i mounted the coilover to the top of the lower arm like the stock strut was i ended up being 3" high than i was prior to the install. so i moved the lower mount to the bottom of the lower arm and not it sits like it did before. i now sit at 33" from ground to fender lip. the ride is so much nicer than the stock magride struts were.

I had a feeling they might not do stock height. Lowered trucks are the bastard child these days. I ended up replacing my 194k mile Mag Ride shocks that didn’t appear to have anything wrong with them with brand new ones and it made a huge difference.

I think if I did go through with deleting the Mag Ride, I probably would have gone with the Atomic Fab coilovers and used a custom spring rate for a softer ride. I tried those in my other truck and they felt very close to the stock Auto Ride, which I had also replaced with new shocks.
